Garlic Knots

If you have a fear of baking bread these delicious rolls would be a great place to start to learn. I was perusing the many cooking blogs I follow and found this over at Brown Eyed Baker. They looked delicious and as Thursday was my dad's birthday I thought they would a perfect side to the dinner I made for him. They were very, very easy. You just mixed the dough, kneaded it for a couple of minutes (hardly hard work), and let the dough rise before shaping and letting them rise for a second time. After that they bake for around 15 minutes and you either toss them in, or brush them over with, a delicious garlic and parsley oil/butter. I brushed mine so I could have a bit more control as to how much I put onto each. These rolls were fantastic with a lovely soft inside with the wonderful garlicky butter flavour. I only made a half batch and got 14 rolls from that but next time I would make the whole recipe as they disappeared very quickly. The could also be reheated in the oven the next day (as I did), or frozen to be enjoyed at a later date. Give them a go....you won't be disappointed! You can find the recipe here.
